Senior executive wanted to dramatically increase the leadership
skills and effectiveness of the company’s management team
by focusing on core, critical leadership qualities that would not
only be emphasized for individual growth but have a positive cascade
effect throughout the organization.
The Medlin Group designed, developed and delivered a customized
Leadership Portfolio for each manager
at all levels in the organization. The Portfolio contained multiple
views into the executive’s behavior and decision-making motivators.
A customized leadership-specific 360 degree was developed to augment
the company’s existing 360 degree assessment. This leadership-focused
360 along with the self and manager assessment tools were used to
measure leadership attribute changes and improvements over the 12
month identified timeframe.
In addition, a Leadership
Attributes Appraisal was developed whereby each manager identified
their top leadership skills and strengths they wished to exploit.
Similarly, they noted those qualities that could be enhanced though
focused efforts on development and wrote a roadmap of activities
to improve each of them. Finally customized CDs were utilized to
reinforce the leadership skills development for the identified areas
and milestone measurements were put in place to check progress,
provide reinforcement, and, where necessary, course correction along
the way.
